EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
At its meeting held Sept. 18, 2019, the PDCA Board
of Directors approved a dues increase that would be
effective Jan. 1, 2020. Hard? Yes! Necessary? Yes!
done the hard work to help PDCA grow stronger over the past year.
These PDCA members have done the hard thing because it’s the
 right thing to do!
During the course of the year, discussions were held about
how the organization would continue its work to represent the
driven pile industry and the resources that would be necessary
to carry on this important role. During these conversations, it
became increasingly clear that something would have to change
to increase the financial support to the organization. At its meeting
held Sept. 18, 2019, the PDCA Board of Directors approved
a dues increase that would be effective Jan. 1, 2020. Hard? Yes!
Necessary? Yes! This dues increase will provide parity with our
industry partners, will provide organizational support to alleviate
the burden on outside revenue streams and will present the
opportunity to develop new services and increase availability.
Anyone familiar with the process knows that a dues increase
is something that is not taken lightly or done in haste. There is
never a good time to raise prices. PDCA sent information to all
existing members in October 2019 about the dues increase and
the reasons that this necessary step had to be taken. The PDCA
Board of Directors did the hard thing because it’s the right thing
 to do!
Change is not easy for anyone. It’s inevitable and it’s hard. But
during 2019, PDCA members have continued to support, they have
continued to register, engage and attend programs and activities,
they have continued to provide ideas and input – even when they
didn’t agree – and they have continued to work hard to support
PDCA’s goal to represent the driven pile industry. We are looking
forward to many significant opportunities to come and with
everything that has taken place in 2019, PDCA will be in a much
better position to capture the benefit from these opportunities on
behalf of members. Yes, PDCA is doing the hard thing because it’s
the right thing to do, and we are looking forward with great interest
and anticipation to a bright and prosperous new year for the
organization and its members. Please accept our best wishes for a
 very happy New Year! t
