“HPSI has built up a tremendous
following and reputation for high-quality,
long-lasting, durable equipment, and that's
absolutely what we will maintain moving
forward,” he said.
With the acquisition of HPSI, the
company was officially renamed GeoQuip
Power Systems LLC, but Terwilliger
stresses there’s no intention to change the
HPSI brand.
Garrett Hogencamp, who is the newest
member of the HPSI team in North
Kansas City, says HPSI equipment is sold
and supported throughout the United
States and Canada through a tightly
knit group of partners, which include
Equipment Corporation of America (ECA),
Bay Machinery, Pileco, Conmaco and,
of course, GeoQuip.
Hogencamp says the tremendous
relationships HPSI developed with
their partner organizations provided
a springboard for the continued growth
of HPSI.
“To continue growing the company, we
have made a huge investment in our future
through increased training for our growing
team, a quality focus on our processes
and the addition of many new pieces of
equipment in our production shop, as well
as a complete renovation of our facility
in North Kansas City that is currently
well underway,” he said. “Being part of
the GeoQuip team has also brought us
expanded heavy machine shop/fabrication
capabilities, additional product lines such
as Pileco diesel hammers and Tunkers
vibratory dampeners, and access to one
of the largest rental fleets of high-quality
foundation equipment.”
Terwilliger notes that GeoQuip is the
exclusive distributor of Tunkers vibratory
dampeners for North America.
“They're a great fit and represent another
seamless addition to our lineup of vibratory
hammers,” he said.
Custom-made solutions
While equipment sales and rentals form
the bulk of its business, GeoQuip also offers
a unique service for customers: custom
foundation construction solutions.
“We can develop a custom solution
that may not be available off the shelf,
whether that's custom-built, customengineered
hydraulic power systems or
custom-fabricated leads and accessories,”
said Terwilliger.
