The International Foundations
Congress & Equipment Expo
(IFCEE) 2021 takes place in
Dallas, Texas from May 10 to 14, and the
deep foundation construction industry has
been buzzing about this highly anticipated
triennial event.
Hosted by its managing partner, the
International Association of Foundation
Drilling (ADSC), in conjunction with the
Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), the Geo-
Institute (G-I) of the American Society of
Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Pile Driving
Contractors Association (PDCA), IFCEE is
a conference and exposition like no other.
IFCEE is dedicated solely to deep foundation
construction and covers all aspects of
this niche but expansive industry. In addition
to an all-encompassing technical program,
IFCEE also includes a large outdoor
equipment show as well as an indoor trade
show that allows equipment and material
manufacturers and suppliers to showcase
new products, technology and services to
thousands of industry attendees.
While some worried about the fate
of IFCEE in the wake of the coronavirus
pandemic, the association hosts worked
diligently to ensure that it could safely
continue as scheduled as the impressive
in-person event that IFCEE is meant to
be while implementing new options that
will allow for worldwide participation like
never before.
The leaders of each IFCEE partner
association recently sat down to highlight
excitement around the upcoming event
and why it’s so important that the industry
take this opportunity to gather and
learn from one another – especially after

What are we accomplishing
through IFCEE that we can’t do
anywhere else?
Having four industry organizations with
different missions working together and
combining their resources allows us to do
more together than we can do separately.
IFCEE is only held once every three
years and provides two events in one – a
top-notch technical conference with sessions
on practice and research presented by
experts in the field, plus an equipment expo
that allows manufacturers and suppliers to
showcase their innovative solutions to contractors
who are looking to improve their
