member to participate in the membership process. You can do
this first and foremost by contacting a non-member and telling
them about membership benefits. The PDCA staff is available to
assist with these personal contacts and information as needed.
The PDCA staff, working with several standing committees
and with the leadership and direction of the Board of Directors,
are continuing to plan for future events, including DFDTA and
DICEP in 2021 and the PDCA 2022 Annual Conference. This
is an ongoing effort to produce essential programs for PDCA
members each year. Don't miss the opportunity to attend these
enjoyable and informative in-person meetings.
The PDCA Board of Directors held the 2021 PDCA Strategic
Planning meeting on Jan. 13 and 14, 2021, as a virtual event.
Twenty-two people attended the two-day event. The Board of
Directors conducted significant business during this program,
which included approving the PDCA 2021 Budget. The Board
of Directors also engaged in lengthy discussions and breakout
groups to develop the PDCA 2021 Strategic Plan. This plan
includes:
• Initiatives for association growth
• Standing committee growth and increased participation
• Increased networking opportunities for association members
All that we have mentioned so far in this discussion is
only part of what PDCA accomplished in the last 12 months
on behalf of PDCA members. We could also talk extensively
about PileDriver magazine, the PDCA website, marketing
efforts, marketing material, the PDCA Annual Membership
Directory, participation in national programs such as NCCCO
for the dedicated pile driver certification or our work with the
FHWA to provide material for the instructor-led training for
the National Highway Institute course, or the PDCA Technical
Committee review for the FHWA Geotechnical Engineering
Circular Number 15, the ongoing efforts by the PDCA Technical
Committee to suggest changes to the International Building
Code on behalf of PDCA members, or the Constant Contact
partner program that is available to the PDCA chapters and
members that could save up to 40% from what they would pay
for this service on an annual basis, and much, much more.
PDCA is a member-driven association with an active and
hardworking Board of Directors, supportive and diligent standing
committees and a dedicated staff. PDCA did not stop providing
shift in how services were implemented and delivered to meet
PDCA members' needs. The only way PDCA can continue providing
dues payments and their active participation in these benefits.
Don't miss the opportunity to take part in the programs that
will help you most.
This is a good place for PDCA to express its sincere appreciation
assistance and engagement, PDCA will continue to provide services,
material, information, education and representation to
advance the driven pile industry. There is additional work to be
done, and we can accomplish more together than we can separately.
