The Project of the Year Awards
program is one of PDCA’s most
prestigious initiatives. Open
to any driven pile project completed by a
PDCA member, the awards are dedicated
to acknowledging the ingenuity, hard work
and commitment that goes into each driven
pile project, and recognized excellence in
construction projects completed by PDCA
members. Through the Project of the Year
Awards program, PDCA recognizes those
members who have integrated unique
design considerations, problem solving,
value engineering, cost savings, innovative
applications of driven piles and benefits
the community or owner into their driven
pile projects. An esteemed panel of judges
is put together each year to grade all entries
across multiple sets of criteria.
Earning a coveted Project of the Year
Award signifies that your company is a
leader in the driven pile industry.
Mark your calendars: the PDCA Project
of the Year Awards will open to entries
on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. If your firm is a
PDCA member in good standing and completed
an interesting driven pile project
within the last two years (with the pile driving
portion completed on or before Dec. 31,
2020), compile an entry and submit it to
PDCA to be considered for a Project of the
Year Award.
See below for instructions on compiling
your entry package, as some components
of the program for 2021 are new. Entries are
due on or before Friday, May 7, 2021.
Announcing the winners
New beginning in 2021, PDCA Project of the
Year Award winners will be announced and
featured in Issue 4 of PileDriver magazine
each year, which distributes every August.

PDCA members will have the option to
enter projects in the following categories,
which have been revised for 2021. (Note
that project value pertains only to the pile
driving portion of the project.)

• Under $5 Million

Compiling your entry package
To begin your entry, visit www.piledrivers.org
and download the correct entry form for
your company, depending on whether you
are a contractor or associate/engineering
affiliate member of PDCA.
A completed entry package will include
an entry form, a minimum of five high-
resolution photos that depict the pile
driving work on the project and a written
project narrative. Writing guidelines for
the project narrative, including writing
prompts and what to cover in your narrative,
are on the entry form.
New for 2021, there is no fee to enter the
PDCA Project of the Year Awards program.
PDCA has decided that the Project of the
Year Awards should be considered a member
benefit; all entries are free, and there
is no limit to the number of entries that a
PDCA member company can submit.
Save all materials for your entry package
in a Dropbox folder and email a
link to the folder to the PDCA office,
info@piledrivers.org. A PDCA staff member
will confirm receipt of your entry. t
