The PDCA Associate Member Council has worked to encourage
involvement to ensure the growing needs of PDCA’s associate
members are met. Diane Fischer of Pile Dynamics, Inc. is the current
chair for the Associate Member Council.
The PDCA Market Development Committee has worked to
promote the different pile types, planned PDCA tradeshow
participation and monitored trends in the market. Doug Keller
of Richard Goettle, Inc. is the current chair for the Market
Development Committee.
The PDCA immediate past president is Jason Moore, who was
recently named chair of the Communications Committee. During
his presidency in 2020, one of his highest priorities was to highlight
all PDCA committees with the intent to grow and strengthen them.
In various PDCA forums, Moore often repeated the same call to
action: “Get involved in a PDCA standing committee, and actively
seek to understand where you can help and participate. Yes, due
to the relationships you build, and the opportunities presented,
your company will likely benefit from your participation. Still, even
more, the industry will thrive as its members take an active role in
expanding its influence and educating its shareholders.”
PDCA committee participation and involvement have been
priorities during the past year and will continue to be a priority
as we go forward. Moore commissioned two significant efforts for
the sole purpose of invigorating all PDCA committees. In August,
he convened the Standing Committee Chair Forum, which was
a meeting of every committee chair and the PDCA Board of
Directors on a web conference. They met to discuss the purpose,
participation and progress of each committee. The direction
determined in the Standing Committee Chair Forum continues to
unfold as of this writing.
