PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
• Six Regional Roundtables, gathering folks
from around the country as PDCA plants
the seeds of future chapter initiatives
• Safely restarting chapter meetings as
guidelines and virus counts allowed in
late 2020
The association is in good shape. It’s
never been more accessible to members
and interested parties. The construction
docs are complete, and the tools are in
place for us to succeed. What next?
We, the members, must execute. We
must get out and tell our story. We install
the highest quality deep foundation element
in the industry. Every blow on every
pile is a measurable event attesting to the
quality of the product. Given the verifiable
quality of our plant manufactured
product and the inherent testing provided
during installation, there’s no excuse
for us to lose market share to any other
process or product.
While PDCA staff can and do provide
the heavy lifting associated with managing
the business affairs of the association, staff
cannot be the voice of the contractor, engineer
or associate member. It isn’t intended
to replace the voice of its members. The
association and staff exist to amplify the
voice of the membership. We, the members,
own the vision, activity and forward progress
of the association.
At the risk of being abrupt, stop asking
what the association has done for you
or your company. In my opinion, it’s the
equivalent of asking what you have done
for you and your company. We need to be
asking, “What’s possible through the association
and how will I/we be a part of seeing
that come to fruition?” In my opinion, our
association is only as good as the average
participation of its membership. Will you
commit to be a part of raising that average?
Help the association help you.
A wise man once reminded me that we
can’t finish what we don’t start. Get in the
ring. Go 10 rounds. We’re with you. Need
some encouragement to stay the course?
Give me a call.
Stay safe!

P.S. Don’t miss IFCEE 2021. I’ve seen the
lineup of speakers associated with PDCA,
and I couldn’t be more excited about the content.
With a doubt, the most oft asked question
from our competing deep foundation
alternatives is, “What is PDCA going to do
about vibrations?” Stay tuned. t
The association is in good shape.
It’s never been more accessible to
members and interested parties.
