PDCA STANDING COMMITTEES
Then in December, Moore hosted the
2020 PDCA Virtual Committee Day. This
was a virtual event that featured consecutive,
30-minute web meetings of each
PDCA Committee. All PDCA members were
encouraged to attend and “test drive” any
PDCA standing committee that might be
of interest to them. This was the first time
PDCA has offered a full slate of standing
committee meetings in one virtual event.
Moore's focus on reinvigorating PDCA
committees in 2020 has already made
a positive impact – four standing committees
have recently gained new leadership.
As stated earlier, Moore now helms
the Communication Committee. Chris
Normand is the new chair of the Safety &
Environmental Committee. Rich Anderson
is the newly named chair of the Membership
Committee. And Rick Kalson now leads the
Contracts & Risk Committee.
According to PDCA executive director
Frank Peters, “Like the old saying indicates,
many hands make light work. The PDCA
standing committees are where the heavy
lifting occurs because members come
together to carry the load. The accomplishment
of this work is dependent on
the participation of members, their ideas,
their industry expertise and their time and
effort. The Board of Directors provides the
direction for standing committees, but it is
the general membership that performs the
work. This process is as it should be. The
PDCA standing committees not only give
members a place to serve, but they also
provide an opportunity for each member
to help strengthen the industry where they
work and earn their living. We encourage
all members to consider joining a PDCA
standing committee.” t

PDCA’s standing committees are
the driving force behind many of the
accomplishments of the association.
