GROUP Deep Foundations Completes
LARGEST PROJECT TO DATE
By Lisa Kopochinski
GROUP Deep Foundations, a full-service industrial contractor
with offices in Louisiana and Texas, completed
one of its biggest projects to date late last year.
The firm’s scope of work on this $30 million project – for a
client in Texas – was accomplished on a site that is the largest of
its kind in the continental U.S. It consisted of site work, a test pile
program, pile installation and pile cut off.
Completed in just 400 calendar days, GROUP Deep
Foundations installed precast piling for four separate grass root
units in the plant. GROUP co-ordinated with multiple engineers
and managers for each unit, which were considered separate projects.
This was completed as a team effort between all parties.
“We were able to complete the project ahead of schedule,” said
vice president of operations Dave Thompson. “And, this was with
the addition of added piles and scope as the project progressed.”
The team is very proud of its
impressive safety record on
this project where there were
zero recordable incidents
