organized PDCA chapter. It would provide companies within
the chapter’s area solidarity, education, networking, promotion
and marketing of driven piles for both deep foundations and
earth retention and a direct affiliation with the national PDCA
organization.
Marczewski and PDCA have scheduled an organizational
meeting in Portland, Ore. on Wed., April 21, 2017. All
interested parties are welcome to attend. Meeting and location
details will be announced upon confirmation. Portland
will be the location of the PDCA 18th Annual Design and
Installation of Cost-Efficient Piles (DICEP) conference, Sept.
27-28, 2017. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an
overview of the benefits of a PDCA chapter, PDCA/chapter
relations, gauge interest and confirm participation, and identify
the important logistical issues surrounding the start-up of
