A Strong Year
for PDCA
My year as PDCA president has f lown by with all
that has occurred in the association as well as in our
industry. Our association, I can say, is on very solid
ground. Our executive committee, executive director and board
of directors have, over the past few years, implemented plans
to strengthen us both financially and organizationally for our
membership.
We have come up with old and new ways of making ourselves
financially secure. First was the active participation of
all board members by getting involved in keeping the current
membership active and engaged in the organization. The board
members have reached out to members to see why they may not
be active and current in the organization. For some, it was a
financial restraint on their companies to stay active, for others
it was just a simple reminder as to what PDCA does for them
and their organization.
OUTGOING PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Secondly, PileDriver magazine has been a significant
source of additional revenue for PDCA. With the aid of the
magazine and its staff at Lester Publications, our association
has increased its membership roles. Also, with this year’s addition
of two more publications, PileDriver will add even more
additional revenue to the association while bringing more valuable
content to PDCA members and industry.
What does this strong financial footing mean to our association?
Primarily, it will allow us, as an international organization,
to stay active and involved at all industry meetings
and trade shows, and to coordinate with other like-minded
associations in our collaborative meetings, such as the 2018
IFCEE conference. Along with our own Annual International
Conference and Expo in June this year, we can present to our
industry a leading, forward thinking, relevant conference that
only adds to PDCA’s leadership position.
