Recap: December’s YAP

The YAP Lunch & Learn on December 15, 2017, was a ter-rific
end to a year full of exciting events during which YAPs
have connected, learned, and been exposed to a wide variety
of themes that will propel them to solve the next generation of
aviation challenges. Hosted by CSSI, the luncheon welcomed three
very special FAA guests: Lirio Liu, Western-Pacific region deputy
regional administrator, Beth White, senior advisor for NextGen
communications and branding, and Ali Bahrami, associate admin-istrator
for aviation safety.
With Beth White moderating the panel, Lirio Liu and Ali
Bahrami discussed their biggest challenges and career tips. Going
back to their early years in the aviation industry, they shared experi-ences
from their favorite jobs, proudest accomplishments, and best
keys to success. The panel ended with a Q&A session that spanned
technical to leadership topics. The panelists’ engagement and
enthusiasm before, during, and after the event was infectious and
made it a huge success. YAP would like to thank our very special
guests for an invaluable session and the host CSSI for providing a
delicious lunch!
