Class Act GROUP Deep Foundations finds
strength in market diversification
MEMBER PROFILE – CONTRACTOR
Under the leadership of president Kevin Gourgues,
GROUP Deep Foundations approaches its work with
an attitude that participation in a project is a privilege,
not a right. The company understands that in a market fueled by
repeat business, the right attitude or approach helps to ensure
its success and creates long-lasting relationships.
GROUP Deep Foundations strives for diversity within the
market, and as such has developed an impressive portfolio of
projects since its founding in 2005 – including a $15.3-million
project at Motiva/Shell Enterprises; $15.2-million waste water
treatment plant in Arlington County, Va.; $2.5-million foundations
project for Perkins Rowe Corp.; and a $2-million courthouse
in Baton Rouge.
Not only does GROUP’s pile driving resume include precast
concrete, H-pile, pipe piles, sheet piles and timber piles, the
company has invested in a large fleet of state-of-the-art equipment
to fulfill a variety of needs for industrial, environmental
and commercial clients. For such a young company, its inventory
is impressive, and includes Kobelco CK 1000, CK 1100
and Manitowoc M10000 hydraulic and lattice boom cranes; a
variety of APE vibratory and diesel hammers; nearly a dozen
APE leads; and numerous hydraulic pile spotters. Its cranes are
the safest on the market and are equipped with load computers
to prevent unsafe lifts.
