PILE DRIVING INSPECTION COURSE
PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP
This one-day course will be offered on Wednesday,
July 10, 2019 from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
PDCA is pleased to present this pre-conference short course
for those who are involved in driven pile foundation systems
design, installation, inspection and testing.
Pile driving is a self-assuring method of deep foundations
construction; the process itself makes each-and-every pile a
“tested” product. Design, construction, inspection and testing
constitute the four main parts of a piling project.
This course is intended to cover methods of quality assurance
and quality control (QA/QC), as well as basic foundation design
principles, installation methods and equipment, important
inspection aspects, testing procedures and development and
application of pile driving criteria.
The course also includes presentations on the installation and
QA/QC of steel sheet piling and on the Durability of steel
piling structures
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This course is designed for Contractors, Superintendents and
Foreman, Inspectors, Geotechnical Engineers and Structural
Engineers and Suppliers; as well as anyone in charge of piledriving
construction inspections.
BENEFITS:
Participants will receive a “Certificate of Completion” and eight
PDHs (Professional Development Hours).

FEES & REGISTRATION:
The course registration fee is $350 for PDCA Members
and Cooperating Organization Members, and $400 for
Non-Members. Registration includes all course material,
presentations (electronically available post-conference),
breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks. In addition, you will
have the opportunity to network with industry professionals,
while obtaining valuable instruction and eight professional
development hours.
