Starting the
Year Off Right

PDCA is starting out the New Year by rolling out big changes for its members.
The first big change affects PileDriver magazine. In the past, the magazine
was a quarterly publication, but beginning in 2017, there will be six issues
annually. This will give members two additional issues to showcase their companies
and projects, and increase exposure of PDCA to more non-members. What’s more,
this first issue of the magazine for 2017 will have an additional 3,000 copies printed
to be used as handouts at the upcoming CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 in Las Vegas
this spring. This additional exposure for PDCA is something the organization has
been planning over the past year for its members. If you picked up this magazine at
CONEXPO and are not yet familiar with PDCA, I invite you to learn more about
our association and how we can help you.
PDCA also just recently completed, with the National Commission for the
Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), the program for the training of operators
for multipurpose pile driving rigs. This program has been in the making for the
past year and a half, and the training will be made available to PDCA members in
the spring of 2017. This training is in anticipation of the new requirements for the
licensing of operators of multipurpose pile driving rigs.
