▼▼DRIVEN PILE CLASS OFFERED
ONCE AGAIN AT LSU
Carol J. Friedland, assistant professor at Louisiana State University
and a 2009 graduate of the PDCA Professors’ Driven Pile Institute,
will teach the “Driven Pile Construction” class at LSU again this
semester. Friedland has instructed the course for the past two
years. This semester, Friedland has 45 students enrolled in the
class.
Congratulations, and thank you for your continued support of
the driven pile foundation industry and your exemplary efforts to
educate our young and upcoming engineers.

FOR GEOMEAST 2017
PDCA is pleased to announce its partnership as a cooperating
sponsor for the GeoMEast 2017 international conference, which
will be held in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt from July 15-19, 2017.
The theme for the GeoMEast International Conference
is “Sustainable Civil Infrastructure: Innovative Infrastructure
Geotechnology.”
GeoMEast 2017 will provide a showcase for recent developments
and advancements in design, construction and safety inspections
of transportation infrastructures and offer a forum to discuss
and debate future directions for the 21st century. Conference topics

FOR DISTRIBUTION OF STEEL PILING PRODUCTS
SALES AND RENTALS IN THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S.
Meever USA is a unit of Meever, an international distributor specializing
in the manufacturing and distribution of steel sheet pile,
pipe pile and H-pile throughout the world. Meever has stocking
locations and offices in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and
the U.S.
Meever USA offers the largest range of products and support
services, including engineering , fabrication, for all types of piling
projects, available from any supplier in the industry.
Jeroen Koelewijn, manager of the northeast region, announces
the appointment of Lee Wilczynski to head up the new southeast
regional office. Wilczynski brings 40 years of experience to the piling
industry. His background includes selling and renting pile driving
equipment and steel pile. His extensive background will allow
Meever USA to train future employees and offices in the highest
standards to serve the industry.
The new regional office will be responsible for sales and rentals
of all Meever USA piling products with special emphasis on the
rental market, since there is a large demand for temporary piles.
Meever’s service-oriented business strategy will be a great asset to
contractors in the U.S. With several stock locations already established
in New York and New Jersey, Meever USA plans to open
more stocking locations in the Southeast, offering piling available
for immediate delivery to the job site.
Of special interest to contractors is a new sheet pile product
line that Meever USA will be introducing in the U.S. in 2016.
These sheet piles are known as the “Precision Pile” and can be used
in a wide variety of sheet pile applications. This product line has
been developed by Meever together with experienced production
facilities and has already proven to be one of the favorite sheet piles
in the European piling industry.
