▼▼PDCA OF THE NORTHEAST CHAPTER
The Northeast Chapter met Oct. 29,
2014 in Newark, N.J. The program
featured Mr. Dirk Himborg, North
American sales director for RTG
Rammtechnik. Mr. Himborg discussed
the benefits of dedicated pile
driving rigs and hydraulic hammers.
Equipment Corporation of America,
BTC Transport and Sienna Funding
were the meeting sponsors.
The chapter also announced
the new officers for 2015. The new
officers are:

The Northeast Chapter gives its sincere thanks to Herb
Engler of Penn State Fabricators and Craig Olson of TRC
Engineers for their hard work and dedication in leading this
chapter from its inception to this point.
In November, chapter representatives met with members of
the New Jersey Department of Transportation to discuss issues
of concern to the local pile driving industry. Also on the agenda
is a presentation of the PDCA Professionals Development
Course at George Harms Construction on Feb. 17, 2015. This
program, designed to provide an overview of the pile driving
profession to those new to the industry, will feature instructors
Pat Hannigan of GRL Engineers and Buck Darling of H.F.
Darling, Inc. A chapter meeting follows on Feb. 18 that will
feature Van Komurka of the Wagner Komurka Geotechnical
Group. Mr. Komurka will address the topic of pile driving in the
Northeast. The meeting sponsor is Atlas Tube.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter met Nov.
20, 2014 at the DoubleTree Hotel in
Annapolis, Md. The featured speaker
for the meeting was Mr. Eddy
Longshore with Cox Industries, who
spoke on the uses of treated wood in
industrial applications. Meeting sponsors
