“In a nutshell, my goal is to be a resource
for engineers and contractors to help them
find the best solution for their construction
projects,” he said.
The role requires an understanding of
the issues faced by engineers and contactors,
he adds.
“Once their needs are understood, it’s
possible to help our customers derive the
best solution for their project,” said Ford.
“Many of the contractors and engineers I
work with have become good friends, and
that’s what makes the job enjoyable.”
In addition to working with clients,
Ford also focuses on product development
and approval.
“Regardless of the task at hand, each
project or task is unique as well as a learning
process.”
Growing the driven pile industry
Since June 2010, he has gained a great deal
of knowledge and experience from his colleagues
at Skyline Steel.
“Everyone is willing to help and share
what they have learned over the years,” he said.
