PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
sionalism. The magazine is an important part of PDCA’s strong
industry presence, and I’m sure this success will continue in the
coming years. I would like to thank all of our members who
advertise in the magazine, and, lastly, I must acknowledge the
hard work of Pollyanna Cunningham and our Communications
Committee for their contributions to the magazine.
At the beginning of my term as president I said that we
would focus our efforts on “giving back” to contractor members.
The best example of this is PDCA’s recent partnership
with the NCCCO for the development of an operator’s training
and certification program for dedicated piling rigs. This
project has been championed by our immediate past-president,
Rusty Signor, and I am pleased to report that the activities of
the PDCA/NCCCO Task Force are in full swing. I would like
to acknowledge the equipment manufacturers and dealers who
have offered their support for this important project. The first
meeting took place recently at the new PDCA head office in
Orange Park, near Jacksonville, Fla., with the participation of
about 20 individuals.
On a less fortunate note, I regret to announce that Van
Hogan's employment position with PDCA ended in January
2015. I wish Van well as he pursues other opportunities. His
IFCEE 2015 has a special
meaning for me, personally,
since it is my last official
function as president of PDCA.

vast pile driving knowledge and his warm personality will be
truly missed around the PDCA office, but I look forward to
his continued presence within our industry. Thank you, Van,
for your service to PDCA for so many years and in so many
capacities!
These words represent my last opportunity to communicate
with our members as their president. I have enjoyed this
adventure immensely and I thank everyone involved in PDCA
for the honor to serve. A special thanks goes to Steve Hall and
the PDCA staff for supporting me in my role as president. t
